Worship

Sundays at 10:30 am, and beyond!

Sunday Service

We find guidance within the structure of a traditional United Church service. The Bible is the shared standard for our faith, but members are not required to adhere to any particular creed or formulation of doctrine. Our services also frequently welcome discussion from the Congregation as we each share pieces of our individual journeys of faith. Our Sunday Services provide a sometimes-calm, sometimes-lively but always-friendly space in which to exercise spiritual practice.

Our building meets all AODA requirements, and is accessible for persons with physical disabilities.

Our Minister

Christina serves in the United Church of Canada in Southern Ontario. She was commissioned into the order of ministry within the Diakonia in 2000 and served as a called minister, both in team and in sole paid accountable ministry with five communities of faith. For the last six years, Christina has served as Intentional Interim Minister in three communities; two of which were following very long term clergy and one where the community was divided and highly conflicted. Personally, she is the proud grandmother of an amazing grandchild who will climb over toys to get to the books, and can’t wait until the twins arrive in June!

We hope you’ll join us for regular Worship on Sundays at 10:30am. Summer worship is at 10:00am.

Music

The music which accompanies our services is a mix of traditional hymns, modern compositions, and original music from our Director of Music and Church Organist, Karen Toogood-Seagrave. On special occasions like Easter and Christmas, Karen will be joined by our Seasonal Choir - which is open to all!

We thoroughly enjoy the use of our Organ & Chimes - “The Grand Old Lady” - who began her days at CFRB Radio in Toronto playing such popular wartime radio shows as “The Happy Gang.”

Memorial Committee

Memorial Services are an expression of our faith in Jesus, and offer opportunities to mourn the loss of a loved one. We would be honoured to assist you with planning a service that will provide comfort to you, your family and your guests.
